Estimator - Structural Steel Division

Serve as the primary point of contact for all preconstruction efforts Obtain scope and schedule information from general contractors Coordinate with estimators and project teams Contact subcontractors and vendors for pricing Review data and drawings to determine material and labor requirements Prepare itemized cost estimates Compute cost factors and prepare estimates for planning, scheduling, bids, change-order pricing, vendor or subcontractor agreements, and cost-effectiveness evaluations Build and review final estimates Create bid forms and scope letters for final submittals Consult with customers, subcontractors, vendors, and other individuals to formulate estimates Maintain bid lists and subcontractor contact information Pursue new opportunities for the organization Facilitate projects being awarded through preconstruction coordination Maintain project pursuit progress status Requirements High School diploma At least 2 years of estimating experience Strong verbal and written communication skills Ability to create accurate and punctual reports Good listening skills Ability to balance and prioritize workload across several projects Ability to identify innovative and creative cost-reduction methods Attention to detail and accuracy Commitment to excellence and continuous improvement Ability to break down problems, identify underlying issues, and process complex issues Energetic, self-motivated, collaborative team-oriented approach Must be eligible to work without visa sponsorship; this role is not eligible for visa sponsorship Ability to frequently lift and/or move up to 25 lbs and occasionally up to 100 lbs Willingness to work overtime and travel as required Core Competencies Demonstrates expertise in cost estimation, project coordination, and effective communication with stakeholders.
