Transport Aide

Surgery Orderly / Transporter

Position Purpose: All KHI employees are expected to perform their respective tasks and duties in such a way that supports KHI's vision of providing the region's best clinical care and patient service through an environment that fosters respect for others and pride in performance. This position is responsible for safely transporting patients via gurney or wheelchair to and from surgery and assists in transferring patients between the bed, gurney and/or wheelchair.

Key Responsibilities:

• Transport patients in house to and from Surgical Services.
• Order and restock supplies.
• Responds to requests for transport in a pleasant, timely manner.
• Maintains continuous availability via wireless communication device.
• Assume responsibility and duties of the department housekeeper as needed.
• Transport specimens and equipment and supplies needed.
