Claims ExaminerWe are currently looking for a Claims Examiner to join our team! The Claims Examiner processes the notification of death claims, ensures state regulations are being maintained in the follow up process, reviews and adjudicates claims, and provides assistance to the beneficiaries through calls and written correspondence.Job ResponsibilitiesReview and process non-contestable death claimsCreate payments and letters to settle claimsCorrespond with claimants via phone, letter, and emailFollow all state regulations, being mindful of Unfair Claim Practice regulationsProvide excellent, prompt customer service to beneficiaries and other callersReconcile suspense items, returned mail, and other items in workflow according to service level agreementsExperience and QualificationsGood understanding or ability to learn in house systems (Workflow/Imaging System, Life Insurance Policy Administration systems, Microsoft Office applications)Knowledge of life and disability insuranceWell organized, detail oriented, uses time efficientlyAble to work independently and think criticallyExcellent written and verbal communicationAble to operate effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a professional image and positive attitudeEducation QualificationsFour year degree from an accredited college or university, or relevant industry experience
