Location: Hollywood, Florida Summary Provides care for patients with cardiopulmonary disorders. Responsibilities Delivers and assesses response to ordered therapy per plan of care. Monitors, documents, and communicates patient condition. Responds to codes and calls for emergent assistance. Assesses patient condition and delivers appropriate treatment. Evaluates respiratory care policies and procedures based on patient outcomes, current research, and best practices. Educates the patient and family about the patient's illness and provides information about community support groups and other resources. BLS Cert American Heart_non ecard (BLS AHA) - American Heart Association. BLS Certification Grace (BLS GRACE) - Employee Grace Period for Essential Credential (GRACE). BLS Cert Red Cross (BLS RC) - Red Cross. Certified Respiratory Therapist (TT LICENSE) - State of Florida. Registered Respiratory Therapist (RT LICENSE) - State of Florida. Additional Job Information Complexity of Work: Requires critical thinking skills, effective communication skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action. Required Work Experience: No prior work experience required. Other Information: Can be licensed as RT or TT. National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC) credential is preferred. Department Specific Credentials: Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) for NICU, Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) for Pediatric areas, Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) for Adult areas. Additional Education Info: Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Therapy program. Additional Credential Info: RT or TT required.
