The Bar Harbor Inn and Spa is seeking a Breakfast Server to join our Reading Room Restaurant team, where you'll play an essential role in delivering a warm, inviting, and efficient start to each guest's day.

In this role, you'll provide attentive breakfast service, take orders, and ensure guests enjoy a seamless dining experience in one of Bar Harbor's most iconic waterfront settings. Position Details:

Schedule: Full-Time, Seasonal (SpringFall)

Shifts: Early mornings required; shifts vary and may include days, weekends, and holidays

Location: Bar Harbor Inn and Spa Reading Room Restaurant

Key Responsibilities:

• Greet guests warmly and provide friendly, attentive breakfast service
• Take food and beverage orders accurately and deliver in a timely manner
• Maintain knowledge of menu items, daily specials, and dietary accommodations
• Ensure tables are clean, set, and ready for guests at all times
• Monitor guest needs and respond promptly to requests
• Collaborate with kitchen and front-of-house team members to ensure smooth service flow
• Assist with opening and closing duties, including setting up and breaking down the dining area
• Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines

Skills & Requirements:

• Previous serving or customer service experience preferred, but not required
• Ability to work early mornings with a positive and energetic attitude
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
• Friendly, dependable, and guest-focused mindset
• Ability to carry trays and lift up to 30 lbs as needed
• Ability to stand, walk, and move for extended periods
