Nurse Practitioner / Physician Assistant – Inpatient Pediatric Hematology/Oncology Madison, WI, United States Job Description Work Schedule: 100% FTE, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm, Monday – Friday. No holidays or call requirements. Hours may vary based on the needs of the department. We are seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to: Independently conduct comprehensive or episodic health history and physical assessment of pediatric patients with hematologic and oncologic diagnoses in the inpatient setting. Primarily manage a subset of inpatient heme/onc patients including preparing and signing chemotherapy treatment plans and orders Perform procedures as indicated such as bone marrow biopsies and lumbar punctures Collaborate with the wide range of Nursing and Physician specialists available at AFCH At UW Health, you will have: An excellent benefits package, including health and dental insurance, paid time off, retirement plans, two-week paid parental leave and adoption assistance. Education: If Nurse Practitioner: Master’s or Doctorate’s degree from accredited Nursing Program. If Physician Assistant: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree from accredited PA Program. Licenses and Certifications: Minimum – State of Wisconsin NP or PA licensure Active RN and APRN certifications and licenses, including prescriptive authority, in state(s) of practice AND Active board certification as a NP in area of clinical practice. These may include the following: Pediatric Primary Care or Pediatric Acute Care.
