Stable A-Fib, SVT, Bradycardia Surgical cases (cholecystectomy, appendectomy, chest tubes, biliary drains) DKA EVERYTHING under the Med/Surg umbrella Additional Patient Types (Overflow/Occasional) Vascular patients Ortho overflow CVA overflow (transferred as soon as possible to appropriate unit) Unit Systems Epic (Preferred) Pyxis SBAR communication Scheduling & Work Expectations Weekends: Every other weekend (unless otherwise specified) Floating: Required within facility/scope of practice as needed Call: Rare; 2-hour response time Travelers typically do not manage Precedex (core staff assignment) RTO Maximum 7 days Holiday Requirements If holidays fall within the assignment period: If 1 major holiday falls → traveler expected to work it If 2 major holidays fall → traveler expected to work both If 3 major holidays fall → traveler expected to work 2 of the 3 Major Holidays Include: Memorial Day Independence Day Labor Day Thanksgiving / Black Friday Christmas Eve / Christmas Day New Year’s Eve / New Year’s Day Additional Notes Locals accepted – same rate
