Yoh is hiring a Senior Revenue Cycle Specialist for our healthcare client. In this role, you will be responsible for resolving complex billing and reimbursement issues while maximizing revenue recovery through expert claims analysis, denial management, and payment resolution. The Senior Revenue Cycle Specialist will collaborate with insurance carriers, patients, leadership, and cross-functional teams to ensure timely reimbursement, identify process improvements, and support overall revenue cycle performanc. Experience in Anatomic Pathology or Diagnostic Laboratory billing is required.

Job Functions

• Investigate, resolve, and collect payment on complex healthcare billing and reimbursement transactions.
• Research and resolve unpaid claims, billing discrepancies, denials, and customer complaints to ensure timely and accurate reimbursement.
• Contact insurance carriers, patients, and other stakeholders to resolve account issues and maximize payment.
• Review insurance and patient account correspondence to identify outstanding issues and determine appropriate corrective actions.
• Analyze billing trends and identify recurring reimbursement issues, recommending process improvements to reduce denials and improve collections.
• Collaborate with leadership and cross-functional teams to develop solutions that improve revenue cycle performance and operational efficiency.
• Review billing documentation to ensure compliance with payer requirements and regulatory guidelines.
• Communicate effectively with insurance companies, patients, and internal leadership regarding account status, payment issues, and resolution strategies.
• Develop and maintain expertise in payer fee schedules, reimbursement methodologies, and denial management.
• Apply advanced knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial payer policies to maximize reimbursement opportunities.
• Monitor and work aging reports to resolve outstanding accounts receivable and reduce claim aging.
• Support complex revenue cycle projects and initiatives requiring advanced reimbursement knowledge.
• Assist with special projects and perform additional duties as assigned.

Education, Licensure and/or Experience

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of four (4) years of experience in a complex healthcare billing and reimbursement environment.
• Advanced knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial insurance reimbursement processes.
• Experience with insurance accounts receivable, denial management, and claims resolution.
• Experience in Anatomic Pathology or Diagnostic Laboratory billing is required.
• Strong understanding of healthcare billing regulations, payer policies, and reimbursement methodologies.
• Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to resolve complex billing issues independently.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work effectively with patients, insurance carriers, clients, leadership, and internal stakeholders.
• Ability to identify trends, recommend process improvements, and contribute to operational efficiencies.
• Self-motivated with strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
• Demonstrated professionalism, accountability, and commitment to delivering exceptional customer service.
