Software Development Engineer, AWS EKS

Salary: $77,000 - 105,000 per year Requirements:

• We require at least 3 years of non-internship professional software development experience.
• We require at least 2 years of non-internship experience designing or architecting new or existing systems, including design patterns, reliability, and scaling.
• We require experience programming in at least one software programming language.
• We prefer 3+ years of full software development lifecycle experience, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
• We prefer a bachelors degree in computer science or an equivalent background.

• We operate and engineer distributed systems at scale for the Amazon Elastic Kubernetes Service control plane.
• We own the availability and resiliency of a service that supports customer production workloads.
• We manage the path from customer intent to a running cluster, including the API, regional desired-state services, infrastructure provisioning and repair, and the Kubernetes control plane.
• We maintain health detection, upgrade impact insights, and operational signals for every cluster.
• We provide technical leadership and help shape strategies that improve customer experience.
• We solve complex technical problems, often ones not previously solved, alongside highly skilled peers.
• We participate in on-call support, typically one week every two months, and work collaboratively to resolve root causes.
