Municipal Project Engineer

We're looking for a talented Project Engineer to join our Municipal Services team in Toledo, OH.In this role, you’ll collaborate with project managers, designers, and municipal clients to bring critical infrastructure projects to life — from utility systems and roadway improvements to stormwater solutions and beyond. From zoning and planning decisions to navigating grant administration and regulatory compliance, we provide you with the best options and value in realizing your goals for your community.ResponsibilitiesDesign municipal projects using Civil 3D to successfully complete site, grading, drainage, and stormwater projects within established budgets and deadlines.Prepare scopes of work, budgets, and schedule assignments.Assist with proposal development for professional services.Coordinate with public and private utilities, as well as other disciplines.Perform and review hydrologic and hydraulic calculations.Prepare and review cost estimates for accuracy and completeness of scope.Assist Project Manager with tracking project budget and schedules.Attend meetings with municipal stakeholders and present components of assignments.Perform field investigations/site visits, as needed.QualificationsBachelor’s degree in civil engineering or environmental engineering is required.5+ years of related engineering experience, preferably with municipal projects is required.EIT (Engineer-In-Training) certification required; Professional Engineer license or working towards licensure is preferred.Proficient with AutoCAD Civil 3D with the ability to design site layouts concept through completion.Ability to learn and apply technical skills and knowledge.Ability to read, write, and understand English for purposes of comprehending written job-related communications and verbal instructions and interactions.What We OfferAt Colliers Engineering & Design, our people are our most important resource.
