Position Summary: Provides administrative assistance and coordinates activities for the Senior Management Team member. Actively participate in outstanding customer service and accept responsibility in maintaining relationships that are equally respectful to all.

Job Responsibilities:

• Demonstrates the ability to adapt technique/treatment to age of population served, including newborn, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients, while providing care/service with respect to cultural differences and spiritual needs.
• Schedules exams, gives instructions for patient preparation, and obtains patient history information
• Coordinates and assists with transportation of patients to and from the Cardiovascular department
• Performs a wide variety of clerical duties including, but not limited to, patient paperwork initiation and completion, answering phones, and ordering supplies
• Checks exam requests to ensure exams are ordered and performed in the correct sequence on the correct day
• Adjusts workflow as necessary to accommodate emergency room patients and outpatient and inpatient exams to ensure efficient department operations and high-quality patient care
• Utilizes computer systems related to all patient care functions including, but not limited to, fax server, ordering, editing and canceling procedures
• Performs all other duties as assigned

Required Knowledge and Skills:

• Demonstrated computer skills
• Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively
• Demonstrated organizational skills

Preferred Education or Experience:

• One year of experience in an Imaging/Cardiovascular department
