Description

American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with critical care experience for a 13-week night shift travel assignment at a 396-bed hospital in Florence, SC.

Details

• Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 6:45 PM – 7:15 AM
• Every other weekend required
• Holiday rotation required
• Floating required within scope to all areas of the hospital, including labor and delivery
• No floating to sister facilities
• No on-call required
• Charting via Epic
• Free parking available on-site

Requirements

• Active South Carolina Respiratory Care Provider (SC RCP) license required; license must be applicable if required by your situation
• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential required; CRTs will not be considered
• Minimum 2 years of experience required; recent critical care experience required
• Current AHA certifications required: BLS, ACLS, NRP, and PALS — all must be in hand at time of start
• Current NBRC RRT credential required and must be in hand at time of start
• First-time travelers will not be considered
• Candidates must reside more than 60 miles from the facility to be eligible
• Social Security Number (SSN) and Driver's License required for consideration
• 2 professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years required for consideration

Additional Information

• Orientation modules are completed prior to the assignment start date
• All requested time off (RTO) must be submitted at the time of consideration; approval is based on facility needs
• Previous permanent or PRN staff at any MUSC location must have been separated from the system for at least 1 year before being eligible to work as a traveler
• Travelers should be aware that during hurricane season (June–November), all employees and contractors may be assigned to emergency response teams; peak months are August and September
• Caribbean Blue scrubs required
