About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN (Registered Nurse) Specialty: Labor and Delivery Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Nights Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years License: Required Certifications: ACLS, BLS, Intermediate Fetal Monitoring, NRP Must-Have: LDRP experience Couplet care Circulate in OR Description: Responsible for providing care in Labor and Delivery, Postpartum, and Mother/Baby settings. Must float between designated areas and assist other units as needed. Average of 1.5 births per day and 50-60 births per month. Follow AWHONN guidelines for staffing ratios. Required to titrate drips, including Pitocin. Charge nurse typically has an assignment. One surgical tech present on the unit. No in-house OB/Neonatologist or Anesthesia. Fetal monitoring is required; experience with EFM systems is necessary. Weekend shifts are required every other week. On-call requirements apply as per policy. Uniform should be professional colors. Floating between units is required per policy. Hospital may cancel up to four shifts per 13-week assignment. Charting system is EPIC.
