Assistant Project Manager – Geology & Engineering (King of Prussia, PA) Tetra Tech is adding an Assistant Project Manager to our multidisciplinary geology and engineering team based in King of Prussia, PA. Responsibilities Provides mid‑level engineering, geologic and hydrogeologic technical field support for environmental investigation and remediation projects, primarily in the areas related to geology, hydrogeology, remediation, fieldwork and data interpretation/presentation. Experience with remediation investigations at CERCLA, RCRA and state brownfields sites. Evaluates geologic and chemistry data to reach sound technical conclusions and presents findings in project reports using text, figures, graphs, etc. Develops and assumes responsibility for the execution of basic to moderately complex tasks/projects. Plans and oversees hydrogeologic investigations and remediation projects. Provides field leadership and field oversight. Leads field testing, multimedia sampling and other investigation fieldwork. Maintains strong skills in general hydrogeology and groundwater characterization/remediation. Provides guidance and mentors junior staff in technical areas, building overall technical capabilities of Tetra Tech staff. Delegates work to ensure key deadlines are met and project team members and design disciplines work collaboratively and effectively. Performs technical report writing and data evaluation tasks. Assumes task management role based on capabilities and experience. Assumes supporting technical role for projects and/or programs. Assumes supporting roles in proposals and project management tasks. Monitors Health and Safety aspects of projects and recommends changes as necessary. Monitors Quality Assurance procedures and recommends necessary changes. Conducts activities in line with internal procedures, legislation and industry standards. Pursues continuous professional development and maintains a high degree of discipline knowledge and awareness. Works in a safe manner at all times and reports all health and safety incidents and concerns. Completes additional duties as required. Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree (B.S.) in Engineering, Geology, Hydrogeology or Environmental Science is required. Advanced degree is a plus. Minimum 5+ years of experience with increasing responsibility in the environmental restoration consulting market. Professional license (e.g., PG or PE) is preferred. 40‑Hour OSHA HAZWOPER training and current 8‑hour refresher training are required. 8‑Hour OSHA HAZWOPER supervisor training is a plus. 10‑Hour Construction Training is a plus. Willingness and ability to travel as needed, approximately 25 %. Travel will be mostly local. Strong work ethic and problem‑solving skills. Effective time‑management skills with the ability to meet tight deadlines. A valid driver’s license and ability to pass an MVR in line with Tetra Tech standards. Knowledge of Pennsylvania and New Jersey environmental regulations and guidance is preferred. Fractured bedrock experience is preferred. CERCLA experience is a plus. Experience with governmental projects is beneficial but not mandatory. Excellent technical writing and verbal communication skills are required. Proficiency in delivering technical and business presentations is preferred. Successful past performance directing and supervising subcontractors is required. Other Skills Experience with technical software including Surfer, LogPlot, AQTESOLV, GIS, and/or CADD is a plus. Experience in Microsoft Windows Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams is preferred.
