Director of Manufacturing Engineering

Valley Mountain Staffing is hiring on behalf of a defense manufacturer building mission-ready, combat-proven gear used by Special Forces, tactical first responders, and extreme outdoor operators worldwide. Their products are in the field with over 100,000 US and coalition force operators. This is a small company doing big things, and they need a leader to match.

We're looking for a Director of Manufacturing Design Engineering to lead the team responsible for turning tough requirements into manufacturable, field proven products.

What you'll own:

Lead a team of manufacturing design engineers: development, compliance, risk, process, performance

Be the go to expert on manufacturing processes, DFM principles, and materials

Drive new product introduction and continuous improvement initiatives

Set team strategy and keep it aligned to company goals

Mediate technical disagreements with data, not opinions

What you bring:

7-10 years in end to end product development, comfortable with hardware/software integration

Bachelor's in Manufacturing or Mechanical Engineering

US Citizen, able to obtain a security clearance

A track record of driving innovation on the manufacturing floor, not just in a conference room

This is an in person role, 5 days a week, North Scottsdale area.
