Diversified Support Services (DSS) is seeking a skilled and reliable Welder to join a manufacturing/industrial team. This role is based in the local shop environment and focuses on producing high-quality welds using MIG (GMAW) and Stick (SMAW) processes while maintaining a strong commitment to safety, quality, and productivity.
Responsibilities
Perform MIG and Stick welding on metal parts and structural components according to specifications.
Read and interpret blueprints, fabrication drawings, schematics, and welding symbols.
Set up and operate welding equipment, grinders, torches, sanders, and other hand/power tools.
Inspect welds for fit, alignment, dimensional accuracy, and structural integrity; complete repairs or touch-ups as needed.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area while following OSHA requirements and PPE guidelines.
Qualifications
1+ year of hands-on MIG and Stick welding experience in a manufacturing, job shop, or industrial environment.
Proficiency reading blueprints, shop drawings, and welding symbols.
Ability to pass a pre-employment hands-on MIG and Stick weld test.
Experience using angle grinders, plasma cutters, measuring tapes, and hand tools.
Ability to stand, bend, stoop, and repeatedly lift up to 50 lbs.; strong attention to detail and reliable attendance required.
Schedule & Pay
Pay: $22.00–$23.00 per hour
Full-time shop environment.
