Northwell Health is seeking a Clinical Director of Hepatology at Lenox Hill Hospital in Manhattan, NY. The Northwell Center for Liver Disease and Transplantation and the Division of Hepatology are actively seeking this leader.

Qualifications

• Board certification in transplant hepatology
• Provides clinical leadership and leads strategy and program development
• 5+ years of transplant hepatology experience is preferred
• Leadership experience in a healthcare setting, preferably within a large health system or academic medical center
• Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire multidisciplinary teams, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous learning
• BE/BC in Gastroenterology and Transplant Hepatology, with proven expertise in General and Transplant Hepatology as well as endoscopy
• Eligibility for medical licensure in New York State
• Experience in academic research and/or teaching is highly valued

Responsibilities

This critical role involves overseeing the medical care of patients with liver diseases, including those in need of liver transplantation. Key responsibilities include diagnosing and treating liver conditions, assessing eligibility for liver transplantation, overseeing both pre‑ and post‑transplant care, and educating medical students, residents, and GI and Transplant Hepatology fellows. The role demands excellence in clinical and diagnostic skills, strong communication and interpersonal abilities for effective teamwork and patient care, and eligibility for medical licensure in New York State.
