Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Days | 4x12-Hour Shifts (7:00–19:30) | Expected 36 hours/week

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to neonatal patients ranging from less than 23 weeks gestational age through full-term newborns in a mixed-acuity NICU setting
• Manage and care for patients requiring Level 4 NICU acuity , including proficiency with IV vasopressors, high-frequency ventilation, high-flow nasal cannula, respiratory distress syndrome, and ventilator management
• Maintain patient ratios of 1:3 (occasional 1:4 during surge periods); document and chart using Cerner
• Float within scope to Pediatric ICU, Level II NICU, and Mother-Baby Unit as needed to meet facility demands
• Fulfill weekend requirements of 12 shifts per contract and work 2 out of 3 designated holiday bundles (Thanksgiving & the day after, Christmas Eve & Christmas Day, NYE & New Year's Day)

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license (pending licensure may be considered at time of submission)
• Minimum 2 years of Level 3 NICU experience required
• Current BCLS and NRP certifications required (RQI certifications not accepted)
• Must be willing and able to care for Level 4 NICU acuity patients and float to Pediatric ICU
• Must live at least 100 miles from the facility to be eligible; non-local driver's license required on file
• Minimum contract length of 10 weeks; after 1 year or 4 consecutive contracts, a 6-month system break is required (whichever occurs first)

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior travel nursing experience is a plus
• Familiarity with Cerner electronic health records system
• Experience caring for neonates across a broad gestational age range in a high-acuity, mixed-acuity environment
