Cath Lab Technologist

Job Summary (List Format): Cardiac Cath Lab Tech (SFMC)


- Unit : Cardiac Cath Lab (Acute Care Setting Trauma Level 1)
- Shift Schedule : 4 x 10-hour shifts per week (total 40 hours); possible weekends holidays and frequent on-call (8-9 shifts/month); call response time: 30 minutes
- Experience Required : Minimum 2 years of Cardiac Cath Lab experience; pediatric and McKesson cardiology PACS experience preferred but not required
- Licensure : Active Illinois license or proof of application initiation required
- Certifications : ARRT BLS and IEMA required
- Duties :
- Scrubbing monitoring hemodynamics and circulating during procedures
- Handling an average of 10-15 cases per day across 6 suites/labs
- Patient Types : Cardiac Cath Lab patients (separate from IR and EP)
- Technology/Charting : Utilizes EPIC EMR McKesson and PACS systems
- Team Structure :
- Cardiologists on call 24/7
- Charge nurse present from 0600-1530
- No floating required
