Registered Nurse (RN) - ER

Registered Nurse – Emergency Department

Night shifts with options for 36 or 48 hours per week. Weekend requirement includes at least 6 shifts within a 6-week schedule. Orientation is 24 hours onsite.

Daily patient census is approximately 90, with a total of 40 beds available in the unit.

Requirements

• 2 years of RN experience preferred
• Previous charge experience preferred
• ED/Trauma experience (Level I/II) and Community hospital or LTAC experience preferred
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS; CPI/TNCC listed as preferred
• Key clinical skills include triage, dysrhythmia/ABG interpretation, IV/central line care, ventilator/BiPAP/CPAP management, and procedural sedation monitoring.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care and assess patient health status in the emergency department.
• Perform triage and prioritize patient treatment based on acuity.
• Administer medications and initiate IV therapy as needed.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to enhance patient care.
• Monitor patients undergoing sedation and manage emergencies as they arise.

Background checks are required for travel contracts. A pending NM/compact license is accepted but must be obtained prior to starting. Travelers are expected to complete required modules within 48 business hours after contract signing.
