Summary The Systems Support Technician I will provide knowledge and support to ensure that hardware, network, and software systems are implemented and supported effectively. Principle Duties and Responsibilities Provide end-user support to remedy computer, audio/visual, basic network, printing, and other technology related issues in a timely and professional manner. Be responsible for communicating the status of technology requests to users via ticketing system, phone, email, and other channels on an ongoing basis. Work collaboratively with stakeholders to schedule and manage daily workload and special projects. Be responsible for coordinating and deploying the daily work of Contracted Services to ensure efficient remedy of Help Desk support requests. Be responsible for assisting and informing the purchasing process, configuring and installing new devices, and assisting with inventory management. Be responsible for assisting and informing the Network Administrator as appropriate, may include providing backup support on some networking systems. Provide an exemplary and professional interface between the Technology Services department and all customers by sending and receiving communications to ensure that the flow of information is accurate, timely, and professional. On-call rotation will be expected of this position. Certification and Licensure Associate's degree with two years of applicable technical work experience, or High School graduate with a minimum of three years applicable technical work experience. Other Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Experience supporting Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel), Office 365. Intermediate proficiency supporting Windows OS client computing environments, Chrome OS and Mac OS experience a plus. Active Directory, Exchange and other software & applications. Self-starter with exemplary customer service skills to complement proven multitasking abilities. Ability to provide effective support to all levels of the organization. Ability to multitask and work independently in a fast-paced technical environment. Ability to work fantastically well with technical and nontechnical users.
