Shift: 6:00 AM - 6:00 PM

Experience:

• 24 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a license (required after submission).

• This role may require floating to additional units and locations

• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >50 miles from facility to be submitted.

• 12 months gap required between for Staff at Program: Medical Solutions Plus Program - St. Luke’s Health System and no current placement allowed at Program: Medical Solutions Plus Program - St. Luke’s Health System.

Additional Details:

Special Requests: Each employment history entry must include detailed duties, hospital size, unit size, trauma level if applicable, patient ratio, and whether the facility was a teaching facility. Any employment gaps greater than 30 days must be explained. Previous facility employees may be considered only as a one-off exception with approval from St. Luke’s Health System. At least one reference must be from the same unit/specialty as the job.

Required Skills/Experience: 2 year experience in a similar CAH setting. Must do EKG, able to assist with intubations and ABGs. Must have NICU and delivery experience as well as adults.

Preferred Skills/Experience: Peds/neonatal experience doesn’t have to be extensive, but it is preferred as they will be the solo RT on shift.

Unit Details: Uses Epic. Typically 4-6 patient interactions per shift. Patient population ranges from NICU to geriatrics and includes ER, Med-Surg, and ski/cycling trauma patients; no ICU, stabilize and ship. Covers hospital ER and Med-Surg, plus outpatient clinic work including pediatric nasal suction, Holter monitors, and EKGs. Responsibilities include drawing and analyzing ABGs, suggesting cares, breathing treatments, BiPAP, CPAP, ventilator management for transfer patients, EKGs, and assisting with intubations. Performs neonatal RT interventions and may be the only RT in-house on shift. Uses Drager vents and a Hamilton transport vent. Manager is in-house Monday-Friday during the day; after-hours phone support and charge RT resources at sister hospitals are available.

Shift & Scheduling: Every other weekend, sometimes less. Will work holidays if there is a need during their schedule. No call anticipated.

Floating Requirements: Floating within the hospital and to outpatient/clinics as needed.

14 days maximum time off

1 Manager/Supervisor reference required from within the last 12 months

1 Charge/Lead reference required from within the last 3 years

Driver’s license required for submission

• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program – 8th Edition)

• PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
