Z Dock Lead

Job Summary This role leads, motivates, trains and supports a team of Warehouse Associates, ensuring efficient operation of the Z-Dock and safeguarding warehouse contents. Key Responsibilities Schedule work within the assigned team and area. Create work documents for picking, moving, and shipping merchandise. Maintain records and assignment lists of tasks performed throughout the day to minimize downtime and enable accountability. Reconcile completed work for administrative completeness and process final documents in assigned area(s). Track work performed versus time to produce comparative metrics. Maintain a constant dock presence and inspect work in progress. Work alongside warehouse staff, performing identical tasks while evaluating and demonstrating proper techniques and disciplines. Perform tasks in other warehouse areas as needed, working with other Leads or supervision. Unload, load, delux, and perform minor furniture repair. Use key and security access, oversee building safety, and follow RDC security procedures. Maximize productivity by training new staff or those needing additional training. Scope & Impact Work occurs at the Z-Dock, where the number of personnel varies by warehouse size; responsibilities span delivery, receiving, inventory/returns/repairs, and building oversight. Minimum Requirements High School Diploma or GED with 0-2 years of relevant experience, or equivalent. Forklift Operator Certification. Travel Required: None. Preferred Requirements Leadership experience at any level is preferred. Ability to learn and utilize RMS is mandatory. Experience with furniture repair and delivery. Physical Demands Stand almost continuously, balance, reach overhead, pull, push, lift up to 50 lbs., perform repetitive hand motions, walk, bend, stoop, listen, talk, climb stairs and ladders, crawl, and operate industry equipment.
