Starting pay will be determined based on relevant, verifiable work experience. All experience is subject to employment verification. Schedule: Thursday through Monday; Days off: Tuesday and Wednesday. Duties include Dishroom/Stock responsibilities Thursday, Friday, and Monday, and Transporter responsibilities Saturday and Sunday.

Your Impact The Dishroom Stock/Transporter is responsible for supporting food service operations through inventory management, transportation of food and supplies, receiving and storage of goods, sanitation of kitchen and service areas, and dishroom operations. This position ensures the efficient distribution of food service inventory throughout the organization while maintaining cleanliness, food safety, infection control, and regulatory compliance standards. The role supports kitchen operations by managing stock levels, maintaining organized storage areas, transporting foodservice items between locations, cleaning and sanitizing equipment and workspaces, and assisting with basic food preparation and catering support as needed.

Job Specific Duties Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the kitchen, cafe, nursing units, patient pantries, physician lounge, soiled utility rooms, and storerooms. Clean and sanitize dishes, utensils, kitchen equipment, carts, and work areas. Operate dishwashing equipment safely and efficiently. Dispose of trash and waste in designated areas in accordance with established procedures. Monitor and maintain adequate levels of cleaning supplies and chemicals. Identify and utilize cleaning chemicals according to manufacturer recommendations and Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS). Receive, unpack, and verify deliveries against invoices. Organize and maintain storerooms, supply rooms, patient pantries, and storage areas. Monitor inventory levels and rotate stock using First In, First Out (FIFO) procedures. Place orders and replenish inventory as directed. Transport food, supplies, and food service inventory throughout the facility. Pick up deliveries and goods from approved vendors. Conduct inventory counts and complete inventory documentation as assigned. Support catering functions by transporting, setting up, and retrieving catering equipment and supplies. Ensure proper labeling, dating, storage, and handling of all food products. Follow all food safety, infection control, physical safety, and risk management policies and procedures. Complete temperature logs, inventory logs, cleaning records, and other required documentation accurately and timely. Follow company policies and regulatory requirements, including standards established by the California Department of Public Health (CDPH), The Joint Commission, and the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS). Follow hazardous materials and waste management procedures. Participate in required safety meetings and training sessions. Perform other duties as assigned by management.

What you will need Must hold a valid driver's license and maintain eligibility under the company's fleet insurance requirements. Must have a valid California Food Handler Certification or obtain certification within seven days of hire. High school diploma or GED preferred. Previous experience in a similar role is a plus, but not required. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously. Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards. Good communication skills and ability to work well with others. Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays. Basic knowledge of kitchen safety and sanitation practices. Ability to read, write, and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to apply common sense and understanding to carry out directions given in written or oral form. Ability to problem solve. Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide whole numbers and compute ratios and percents. Physical and Sensory Requirements Ability to lift and move heavy objects, up to 50 pounds. Ability to stand, walk, and move around for extended periods. Ability to bend, stoop, and reach frequently. Manual dexterity to handle kitchen equipment and utensils.
