Registered Nurse – Cardiovascular

Shift: 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM

Contract Weeks: 13 Guaranteed Hours: 36.00

Requirements:

• Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of practice: Required
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from approved vendor per policy: Required
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification: Required
• At least two years recent experience in field: Required
• Cardiovascular with open heart recovery training: Required
• Balloon pump/open heart experience: Required

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Deliver coordinated nursing care for a group of patients according to established standards of care.
• Supervise and direct the activities of various levels of assigned nursing staff.
• Collaborate with the patient, family, and healthcare providers to ensure safe and effective patient care.
• Conduct assessments, analyze data, and determine nursing diagnoses and care issues.
• Implement care plans and evaluate patient progress toward outcomes.
• Provide education and support to patients and their families related to health information and discharge planning.
