New Mexico Behavioral Healthcare LLC is looking for a compassionate and driven Patient Advocate to join our team in Albuquerque, NM. In this vital role, you'll serve as a bridge between patients and the healthcare system, ensuring individuals receive the support, resources, and care they deserve. If you're passionate about mental health and making a real difference in people's lives, we want to hear from you. Responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for patients navigating behavioral healthcare services
- Assist patients in understanding their rights, treatment options, and care plans
- Address patient concerns, grievances, and inquiries in a timely and empathetic manner
- Facilitate access to mental health, substance use, and community support services
- Maintain accurate documentation of patient interactions and advocacy efforts
- Performs other duties as assigned by the Director of Quality and Risk Management
- Experience in behavioral health, social services, case management, or a related field
- Strong knowledge of mental health and substance use treatment systems
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and conflict resolution skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations
- Empathetic, patient-centered approach with a commitment to advocacy
- Proficiency in maintaining accurate records and documentation
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus in the Albuquerque community
