Respiratory Therapist - Full Time 72Hrs/Pp, 7a-7p - Bronson Battle Creek

Position Overview The Respiratory Therapist provides respiratory care under the general supervision of the Respiratory Manager or Director in a patient care setting. The role is a full‑time 12‑hour day shift covering 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. at Bronson Battle Creek. Key Responsibilities Initiate and administer respiratory therapy in accordance with provider orders and approved protocols. Perform and interpret blood gases, pulse oximetry, and other diagnostic tests. Communicate findings and ventilator recommendations to providers and nursing staff. Conduct oxygen therapy, CPAP, BiPAP, and other modalities as indicated. Assist or perform tracheal intubation and maintain artificial airways. Participate in Code Blue events and provide BLS/ACLS/NRP support. Provide education to patients and families about respiratory conditions and therapies. Perform basic pulmonary function testing and assist with bronchoscopies and bronchoscopy-related procedures. Maintain and troubleshoot respiratory equipment. Qualifications Associate’s degree in Respiratory Therapy (AS); Bachelor’s degree preferred. Current Respiratory Therapist license in Michigan. Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential required within one year for hires after 2004. BLS certification required within 3 months of hire. ACLS, PALS, and NRP certifications required within one year of hire for BLH and BSH sites. Completion of an accredited Respiratory Therapy program and five years of experience required for hire after 2004, with a bachelor’s degree preferred. Benefits Sign‑on bonus up to $5,000.
