Job Opportunity at Hancock County Health System- Garner Clinic

Join a busy outpatient practice with instant volume. You will be joining 3 Physicians and 1 Advanced Practice Provider. Care ranges from newborns to end of life- no OB (OB Shared Care optional!). Enjoy NO CALL!! Extra pay for ER and/or Inpatient shifts. Specialists are available including general surgery, cataract surgery, vein procedures (ablation and sclerotherapy), cardiology, ENT, OB Shared Care, ophthalmology, orthopedics, neurology, pain management, podiatry, skin cancer screening, pain, and weight management.

Facilities include lab, x-ray, ultrasound including Echo, pain management, OP geriatric psych, behavioral health therapy, sleep, MRI, CT, mammography, surgery, nuclear med, PT, RT, OT, and ER all on site. The clinic is a 25-bed critical access hospital and primary care clinic that cares for 12,000 residents of Hancock County and the surrounding area. It is a Level IV Area Trauma Care Facility and an affiliate of MercyOne North Iowa, a Level III Trauma Center and regional referral teaching center.

As part of MercyOne Medical Group- North Iowa, you will be part of a regional health system covering 14 counties, including MercyOne North Iowa Medical Center, 7 critical access hospitals, and 42 clinics in northern Iowa. The service area is approximately 260,000 and telemedicine and teleradiology are available.

Candidates must be BC/BE and must be board certified within 3 years of becoming eligible. EOE/drug screen required. Highly compensated with excellent benefits including a $270,000 total bonus package!! (Including Rural Grant Funding), $301,290 base salary + production, 34 days of PTO when on base; 40 days PTO when on production, annual CME-$4,000, health/dental/vision/life insurance, short term/long term disability, 403(b) retirement program with employer contribution and matching; Optional 457(b) deferred compensation plan, benefits start day 1 of employment, and employer sponsored professional liability insurance & tail insurance coverage.

Garner, Iowa, has a population of 3,000. It offers a GC4 Daycare Facility and Henschen scholarship fund. It is 20 miles west of Mason City; 2 hours north of Des Moines; 2.5 hours south of Minneapolis. The town is rich in history- home to the Avery Theater, Duesey Days, and the county seat. Community amenities include a recreation center, aquatic center, golf course, library, and many beautiful parks.

Qualifications: Graduate of a medical/osteopathic medical school is required. Demonstrated competency as a physician by completion of an appropriate residency program; board certified or board eligible. Must be able to obtain Mercy Medical Center-North Iowa medical staff privileges. Above average communication skills. Ability to work with a team. Licensed or eligible for State of Iowa physician license, Iowa Controlled Substance Certificate and Federal DEA Certificate.
