Respiratory Therapist (RRT or CRT) - Night Shift

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Night shift: 3x12 hours (19:00 - 07:00), weekdays, and some weekends. Floating required as needed.

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Respiratory Therapist with experience in pediatrics or NICU to provide critical care for patients in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong clinical skills and the ability to adapt to varying patient needs.

Responsibilities

• Provide respiratory care to patients of all ages, including neonates and pediatrics.
• Utilize advanced respiratory equipment and ensure effective management and care of patients.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to assess patient needs and develop care plans.
• Perform critical procedures such as intubation, extubation, and management of mechanical ventilation.
• Administer prescribed medications via various methods including nebulizers and inhalers.
• Ensure compliance with hospital protocols and maintain accurate patient records using Cerner charting system.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Respiratory Therapist (RRT or CRT) required.
• National certifications required: ACLS, PALS, NALS for pediatrics, and BLS.
• Must possess or be in the process of obtaining state licensure.
• Previous pediatric and critical care experience preferred.
