Senior Data Solutions Analyst: Finance

Description Operating at the intersection of business strategy and technical development, the Data Solutions team works closely with senior leadership, IT, finance, marketing, distribution, and product teams to simplify and expand the company’s ability to understand both where we’ve been and where we are going. As a Sr Data Solutions Analyst on our Data Solutions team, you'll sit at the intersection of finance and technology — designing the SQL/Python pipelines, Snowflake models, and Power BI dashboards that power enterprise planning, forecasting, and budgeting for USRM. You won't just build reports; you'll own the technical vision for how finance leadership understands where the business has been and where it's going, working hands-on with stakeholders across IT, finance, marketing, and distribution.**This role may have in-office requirements depending on candidate location**Candidates who live within 50 miles of Boston, MA; Portsmouth, NH; Seattle, WA; Columbus, OH; or Plano, TX will follow a hybrid schedule, coming into the office two days per week. Otherwise, this role is remote.Responsibilities:Design, build, and maintain SQL/Python-based data pipelines, models, and dashboards that support enterprise planning, forecasting, and budgeting solutionsOwn the technical architecture and design decisions for assigned data solutions, from requirements through deploymentManage multiple projects in parallel to implement system enhancements and new enterprise application solutionsCollaborate with stakeholders to identify and implement innovative, data-driven solutions that increase process efficiencyGather and translate business requirements into technical specifications, and validate solutions through testing and user acceptance criteriaAnalyze existing tools, processes, and data sources to identify and resolve gaps in accuracy, latency, and reliabilityMentor junior analysts and contractors, providing technical guidance and code/design review to raise the team’s overall capabilityLead continuous improvement efforts across business processes, systems, and reporting infrastructure Prepare and present regular status updates on ongoing projects and solutions to stakeholders and leadershipCreate and maintain technical and process documentation, and lead end-user trainingPerform monthly data load and validation activities for book close — develop automated and AI solutions to drive efficiencies.Preferred Qualifications:Strong hands-on proficiency in SQL and Python with experience building and maintaining data pipelines or modelsExperience with Snowflake (or a comparable cloud data warehouse) Experience with Power BI (or a comparable BI/reporting tool)Experience with SAS and Office 365Solid understanding of finance and accounting concepts, and experience supporting FP&A, planning, or budgeting processesDemonstrated experience mentoring or leading the work of other analysts or contractorsHighly motivated self-starter with strong ownership, curiosity, and a track record of following through on commitmentsStrong communicator able to translate between technical and business stakeholdersProven experience proposing and executing innovative ideas through to completionStrong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects under demanding deadlinesStrong situational analysis, troubleshooting, and decision-making abilitiesExperience with Jira and Confluence, which are heavily used in this role Qualifications Strong written and oral communication skills required Bachelor`s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related discipline preferred Master`s in same or related disciplines strongly preferred 3-5 years experience in coding for data management, data warehousing, or other data environments, including, but not limited to, working in NoSQL implementation, ETL, Java, scripting languages (Python, Perl, Shell), and the Hadoop stack About Us Pay Philosophy: The typical starting salary range for this role is determined by a number of factors including skills, experience, education, certifications and location.
