Job Overview Company: Cox Automotive (USA) Position: Specialist II – Vehicle Operations Level: Individual Contributor Work Location: Specified Cox facility (no remote option) Compensation: Hourly base pay $18.17 – $27.31/hour (range may vary by location and qualifications); potential commission or incentive program. Responsibilities Process and re‑assign titles for vehicles sold by auction. Examine vehicle titles for accuracy and conformity to required standards. Verify state acceptance of titles and confirm accurate VIN, odometer reading, liens, and status of titles. Assess title documents for negotiability and potential fraud; report discrepancies. Resolve titling issues by interacting with customers, dealers, and regulatory agencies. Negotiate price adjustments between buyer and seller for title problems (as directed by manager). Maintain knowledge of current DMV laws and regulations related to vehicle titles across all states. Receive and route telephone calls to appropriate personnel or departments. Process sale‑day transactions using AS400 and provide customer service. Run and review outstanding title reports; contact sellers regarding unresolved titles. Issue gate passes for no‑sale vehicles and purchases. Assist with sale‑day balancing activities. Generate 15‑day outstanding title reports for consignment vehicles sold without title; match invoices to reports and contact sellers to obtain titles. Notate title status in the system and assist with title and check audits. Demonstrate safety commitment by following all safety and health procedures and supporting Safety Excellence activities. Perform additional duties assigned by management; overtime may be required. Travel as needed for job responsibilities. Qualifications Minimum High School Diploma or GED plus 3 years of related experience, *or* Any degree or certification beyond a high‑school diploma with up to 1 year of experience, *or* 5 years of related experience Strong communication skills and a customer‑service attitude. Ability to recognize title brands and other relevant title notations. Proficiency in typing and 10‑key input. Strong organizational skills and high attention to detail. Ability to sit and stand for extended periods and to perform extensive hand‑written and computer work. Capable of bending and light lifting (10lbs. or less). Willingness to become a Notary is desired. Must pass a pre‑employment drug test; marijuana testing is not conducted. Benefits Minimum of 16 hours of paid time off each month.
