Occupational Therapy Assistant

Provide occupational therapy support to patients under the supervision of a licensed therapist. Assist in implementing treatment plans to enhance patients functional abilities and independence.

Responsibilities:

• Support licensed occupational therapists in assessing patient needs and developing treatment plans.
• Implement therapeutic activities and interventions as prescribed.
• Document patient progress and communicate findings to the supervising clinician.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized therapy environment.
• Educate patients and caregivers on therapeutic exercises and techniques.
• Adhere to all regulatory standards and facility policies.

Qualifications:

• Active State Occupational Therapy Assistant license or certification.
• Proven experience working in a skilled nursing facility or similar setting.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to follow treatment plans and documentation protocols.
• Knowledge of occupational therapy practices and safety standards.
• Strong interpersonal skills to engage patients effectively.
