Job Details

• Schedule: Rotating approximately 12-hour shifts from 1 PM to 1 AM, 3 PM to 3 AM, 5 PM to 5 AM, or 7 PM to 7 AM; minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: CA licensed BLS and ACLS certifications (AHA only), PALS (AHA only) or ENPC, NIHSS, at least 2 years of recent ER experience, superior references, travel experience, and EPIC electronic medical record system experience.
• Preferred Qualifications: Certified Emergency Nurse (CEN), Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC), 35 years of ER experience, some trauma and pediatrics experience.
• Additional Information: The emergency department handles a daily census of 190200 patients with rapid patient turnover. Nurses are expected to triage ambulance patients at bedside, demonstrate critical thinking, and manage a high-volume, fast-paced environment. The patient demographic is generally well-educated and vocal about substandard care, emphasizing nursing excellence and patient experience.
