Registered Nurse - Labor and Delivery

Job Summary:

Seeking a skilled Registered Nurse for the Labor and Delivery unit to provide exceptional maternal care. The role involves managing antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum patients in a fast-paced environment to ensure safe and effective delivery experiences.

Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to obstetric patients following AWHONN guidelines.
• Monitor fetal well-being using EFM systems, including GE Centricity, and interpret strip readings.
• Titrate and manage IV drips such as Oxytocin, Insulin, and Epidural as required.
• Assist with cesarean sections, circulating, and recovering patients post-delivery.
• Collaborate with OB/Neonatologists, techs, and support staff to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Maintain accurate documentation and follow infection control practices.

Qualifications:

• Valid and unexpired RN license with Basic Fetal Monitoring certification.
• Proven experience in antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum nursing care.
• Knowledge of AWHONN guidelines and labor/delivery protocols.
• Ability to read and interpret telemetry strips and fetal monitors.
• Flexibility to work 12-hour shifts, including every other weekend and holiday coverage.
• Strong communication, critical thinking, and teamwork skills.
