Electrical and Instrumentation Technician

Electrical and Instrumentation Technician We are currently hiring E&I Technicians for our busy 24/7 manufacturing plant. This position is responsible for providing leadership, support, preventive maintenance, and service to all electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, thermal/mechanical systems and equipment used in amorphous metal production. Essential Job Functions: Committed to ensuring the safety of others and self through always working in a safe manner and following all safety procedures. Lead efforts to make total Quality the standard at the Conway plant through personal behaviors and ensuring that all appropriate parties are included in the problem-solving process. Performs part or all of the work below as assigned by supervisor. Repairs and maintains electrical systems, electronic systems, and various electric power systems (including digital and analog circuitry, inverter and power supply systems, lasers, AC and DC drive systems, relay logic and power distribution systems). Maintains and repairs various mechanical systems including hydraulic systems, cranes, balers, casting-winding-packaging machines. Performs welding within scope of experience and training. Implements the established preventative maintenance program. Complies with all pollution, toxic, waste, and safety regulations and laws. Writes/assists in writing SOPs and training/troubleshooting procedures. Takes a leadership role in identifying, suggesting, and implementing continual improvements in equipment reliability and technician training. Ability to work as an integral member of the plant’s scheduled “on-call” team. Part of ERT (Emergency Response Team). Assist in development of hands-on training of technicians in troubleshooting techniques and procedures. Assist in writing procedures for all critical process equipment and calibration procedures for all instruments. Work closely with maintenance supervision in establishing ISO 9002 within this department. Increase equipment reliability through thorough analysis of equipment failures. Assist in any associated training from both a maintenance and operating aspect. Take leadership role in assisting operations when experiencing process/run/problems. Assist in identification of problem(s) and participate in problem-solving and implementation of solutions. Ability to read, understand, and follow directions. Ability to communicate effectively with internal and external customers. Basic computer skills: ability to enter, retrieve, and evaluate data. Able to lift, push, and pull up to 50lbs alone, and 51-100lbs with assistance. Able to bend, squat, stand, walk, climb, stoop, kneel, balance, grasp as/if/when needed to perform the essential job functions. Able and willing to work in a warm & hot inside environment mostly on plant floor, especially during summer months. Able to work weekdays, weekends, days, nights, and holidays per rotation schedule. Able to work 12-hour rotating shifts. Shifts run 7a-7p, and 7p-7a. Rotation schedule is 2 days on, 2 days off, 3 days on, 2 days off, 2 days on 3 days off on one shift (7a-7pm or 7p-7a) for 2 weeks, then the same on the opposing shift. Overtime pay after 40 hours/week. Education, Training, & Experience: Training and demonstrated skills in industrial maintenance not limited to electronics, electrical, mechanical, hydraulics, and welding Leadership and teamwork abilities.
