Ochsner Children's Child Abuse Pediatrician Opportunity
Ochsner Children's is seeking a board certified/board eligible Child Abuse Pediatrician to help lead its expanding system of care across New Orleans, LA and the entire Gulf South.
Opportunity Details:
Oversight of program development to provide outpatient, inpatient, and emergency department consults for suspected abuse and neglect in collaboration with a new Parish (county)-funded child advocacy center.
The development of this service line is coordinated with a brand-new trauma program - and opening of a brand new comprehensive peds ED (within the all new Ochsner Children's Hospital) in early 2028.
Receive the time and the support needed to provide patient and family centric medical evaluations and care with strong support from Children's Hospital leadership and administration.
The position offers a competitive compensation package commensurate with experience with full benefits, paid relocation, and a signing bonus.

14-bed PICU and 12-bed CVICU
4-bed NAEC-accredited Level IV Pediatric EMU
44-bed Pediatric Acute Care Unit with a dedicated Pediatric ED
24/7 neonatal and pediatric transport team with ground, rotary, and fixed-wing aircraft support
Future growth: construction underway for a new 5-story Children's Hospital, opening in late 2027/early 2028 and planned expansion of neonatal services
Education & Research
ACGME-accredited pediatric residency program, plus the Ochsner Pediatric Residency Program.
Teaching opportunities with medical students from Tulane University and the University of Queensland.
Xavier Ochsner College of Medicine (currently in LCME accreditation).
