Senior Mechanical Engineer

Job Summary Senior Mechanical Engineer to work in a fast‑paced multi‑discipline team environment. Focus on the design of mechanical systems for new facilities, additions, and renovation projects, providing technical leadership for construction drawings, specifications, existing system studies, and master planning efforts. Engage with clients, project teams, code officials, contractors, and others to address mechanical issues and build effective working relationships. Duties Develop HVAC system designs based on scope of work and/or client RFPs. Design and evaluate HVAC/mechanical systems across diverse market sectors, including load/energy calculations and equipment selection. Prepare detailed design documents, BIM models, specifications, reports, and code compliance research. Conduct building surveys, document existing systems, and perform construction administration, reviews, and QA/QC. Coordinate with other disciplines and serve as the primary client contact. Mentor junior engineers and support business development through client relations and project interviews. Lead project teams and serve as the primary contact for clients. Assist in procurement of new work, including development of client relations and participation in project interviews. Skills Knowledge of HVAC system design. Familiarity with codes, standards, and design guidelines. Excellent work ethic and attitude. Strong communication, organizational, planning, and prioritization skills. LEED certification or experience is a plus. Leadership ability; teamwork competency. Proficiency in Revit, BIM360, AutoCAD, and MS Office. Willingness to travel. Qualifications 8+ years designing HVAC systems. Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering. Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred.
