Located in Virginia Beach, VA, we are a premier doggy daycare and boarding facility where tails wag, and smiles abound. If you're passionate about pups and ready to make a difference in their lives, we want to hear from you! Must be at least 18 years old and have a high school diploma or equivalent. You MUST LOVE DOGS – the barks, the hair, the messes, and most importantly, the unconditional love and joy they bring! What You’ll Be Doing As a Camp Counselor, you'll play a vital role in ensuring the safety, happiness, and well-being of our furry campers while delivering outstanding customer service. Here's a glimpse of your day-to-day responsibilities: Dog Care & Monitoring Evaluate dog behavior and interactions during initial screenings, monitor play yards for dogs of all sizes, and maintain constant attention to prevent scuffles or injuries. Perform health checks, observe animal behavior, and assign dogs to appropriate play areas. Cleaning & Maintenance Keep our facility spotless by cleaning play yards, cabins, and common spaces. Tasks include mopping, sweeping, scrubbing, and basic maintenance. Grooming & Feeding Assist with dog washes, nail trims, and other grooming needs. May be asked to assist with feeding dogs and administer medications. Customer Service Provide excellent customer service when interacting with pet parents. Training & Safety Complete Pet First Aid and Doggy CPR certification within 90 days of hire and attend additional training as needed. Teamwork Work closely with your team to create a safe, fun, and nurturing environment for our campers. What We’re Looking For We’re seeking individuals who are energetic, reliable, and ready to roll up their sleeves. Here are the qualities and skills we value most: Must-Have Skills : Positive, upbeat, and outgoing personality. Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. Exceptional customer service skills. Ability to lift or push heavy items (dog food, supplies, carts, etc.). Comfortable standing, walking, bending, stooping, and kneeling for extended periods. Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions. Bonus Points : Professional experience in a dog daycare, boarding facility, or as a vet tech, vet assistant, or dog trainer is highly desired.
