Quality Control InspectorThe Quality Control Inspector uses Zeiss Calypso coordinate measuring machines (CMMs) to inspect precision parts and verify that they meet engineering specifications and quality standards within a machine shop environment.ResponsibilitiesOperate Zeiss Calypso CMMs to perform accurate and repeatable measurements on machined parts.Inspect parts against engineering drawings, specifications, and tolerances to ensure compliance with quality requirements.Conduct detailed quality inspections throughout the production process to identify defects, nonconformities, and potential issues.Document inspection results clearly and accurately, and communicate findings to engineering, production, and quality teams as needed.Apply established quality control procedures to verify product conformity and support continuous improvement efforts.Handle, position, and secure parts properly during inspection to maintain measurement accuracy and prevent damage.Collaborate with engineers and machinists to resolve measurement discrepancies and clarify technical requirements.Maintain CMM equipment and inspection tools in good working order, reporting any issues or calibration needs promptly.Follow standard operating procedures and quality control guidelines to ensure consistent and reliable inspection practices.Essential SkillsHands-on experience using Zeiss Calypso CMMs for part inspection.Strong understanding of quality control and quality inspection practices in a manufacturing or machine shop setting.Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and tolerances.Proficiency with coordinate measuring machines (CMMs) and related inspection tools.Attention to detail and ability to identify defects and nonconformities in machined parts.Solid technical aptitude and comfort working closely with engineering and production teams.Additional Skills & QualificationsBackground in quality control within a machine shop or manufacturing environment.Familiarity with engineering concepts and terminology used in part inspection.Experience documenting inspection results and preparing clear, organized reports.Ability to follow established quality procedures and contribute to process improvements.Strong communication skills for collaborating with engineers, machinists, and other team members.Why Work Here?Join a team that values precision, craftsmanship, and continuous improvement in a hands-on manufacturing environment. The setting is fast-paced, detail-oriented, and focused on meeting precise engineering and quality standards.Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Duncan, OK.Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $20.00 - $24.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
