Job RequirementsMinimum Education RequirementAssociate degree in a laboratory science, or medical laboratory technology from an accredited institutionOR Official military medical laboratory procedures course of at least 50 weeks duration and holds/held the military enlisted occupational specialty of Medical Laboratory Specialist.Minimum Experience RequirementRelevant experience preferred. Ability to concentrate and pay close attention to detail. Analytical skills necessary in order to determine proper specimen container and storage. Interpersonal skills necessary in order to communicate effectively with physicians and various other personnel.Minimum License RequirementMLT: ASCP registered or eligiblePhysical Requirement/Working ConditionsWalking or standing up to eighty percent of the work time. Subject to frequent changes in priority of duties throughout the day. Analytical skills necessary in order to determine appropriateness of laboratory order. Ability to concentrate and pay close attention to detail. Occasional exposure to hazardous materials.
