$22.17 - $24.17 per hourThe General Production Worker supports manufacturing and treatment plant operations by performing a variety of hands-on tasks, including material handling, machine operation, and facility upkeep. This role involves working on 2nd shift general production with the flexibility to support rotating treatment plant schedules as needed. You will apply endplates, operate banding equipment, assist with loading and unloading materials, and help maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment.
Responsibilities- Apply endplates by hand or using machines in accordance with production requirements and safety standards.
- Operate banding equipment to secure materials and finished products for storage and shipment.
- Assist in loading and unloading materials and charges, ensuring proper handling and placement.
- Support storage activities by setting stickers and dunnage to protect and organize materials.
- Tag materials with accurate and proper product tags to ensure correct identification and traceability.
- Cut dunnage to required sizes and specifications for use in storage and transport.
- Assist in cleaning work areas, including sweeping, removing debris, and maintaining overall cleanliness.
- Participate in painting and maintaining property, plant, and equipment to support facility upkeep.
- Contribute actively to the company safety program by following safety procedures and reporting hazards.
- Perform inspections of materials and equipment as needed to identify potential issues or defects.
- Use hand tools and basic equipment to complete general labor and production tasks.
- Upload and download job information into computers and complete required paperwork accurately.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot potential issues in the production process and report them promptly.
- Keep an organized and clean work area to support efficiency and safety.
- Perform other related duties as assigned to support production and plant operations.
- Experience with general labor and production work, including physical tasks and manual handling.
- Ability to safely use hand tools for pounding hammers and other production-related tasks.
- Basic machine operation skills, including operating banding equipment and related machinery.
- Materials handling experience, including loading, unloading, and organizing materials and charges.
- Forklift or similar material handling equipment exposure is beneficial for moving materials.
- Inspection skills to identify issues with materials, equipment, or processes.
- Good eye-hand coordination for tasks such as pounding hammers and applying endplates.
- Basic computer skills for uploading and downloading jobs and completing paperwork accurately.
- Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot potential issues in the production process.
- Strong attention to cleanliness and organization in the work area.
- Physical ability to perform labor-intensive tasks in a demanding environment.
- 6–12 months of consistent work history in construction, farming, or general labor.
- Background in construction, farming, landscaping, roofing, or similar outdoor labor environments.
- Comfort working with a small team of 2–3 people and collaborating to meet production goals.
- Willingness to participate in a rotating schedule in the treatment plant (1st: 6am–6pm, 2nd: 6pm–6am) if needed.
- Reliability and consistency in attendance, including the ability to work one weekend a month and extended work stretches.
- Strong communication skills for coordinating tasks and reporting issues to supervisors.
- Commitment to following safety guidelines and using required personal protective equipment.

Work EnvironmentThis role operates in both outside and inside work environments that can be very hot during the summer and very cold during the winter. The work area can be smelly and dusty, and you will typically work with a small team of 2 to 3 people. General production hours include 1st shift from Monday to Friday, 6:00am–2:00pm with overtime on Friday, and 2nd shift from Monday to Thursday, 2:00pm–12:00am with overtime on Friday. You must be willing to work one weekend a month, which can result in working up to 12 days in a row. Treatment plant schedules follow a rotating pattern, with 1st shift from 6:00am–6:00pm and 2nd shift from 6:00pm–6:00am. The environment involves physical labor, machine operation, materials handling, and use of hand tools. Dress code includes wearing a hard hat, safety vest, safety glasses, gloves, long sleeves, and uniforms, with steel-toed boots required (boots are not provided). Personal protective equipment is supplied to support safe work practices in this demanding industrial setting.
