Work Environment\nThis position offers a remote work setting, allowing for flexibility and work-life balance while serving our outpatient clients. Key Responsibilities\n- \n
- Conduct thorough assessments to diagnose and assess clients’ mental health needs, creating comprehensive treatment plans based on individual circumstances. \n
- Develop crisis intervention strategies and crisis management plans in collaboration with clients and caregivers, ensuring that effective behavioral guidelines are in place. \n
- Complete all necessary documentation and ensure compliance with regulatory standards effectively and in a timely manner. \n
- Utilize evidence-based screening tools to assess clients’ issues and track progress throughout the treatment process. \n
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop positive behavior support plans, enhancing the therapeutic environment for seniors. \n
- Stay actively involved in licensing and accreditation processes to maintain the highest standards of care. \n
- Serve as a liaison with relevant local service systems, state agencies, and community organizations to foster partnerships that enhance service delivery. \n
- Facilitate workshops and training to promote the agency's mission, values, and principles within the community. \n
- Participate in professional development activities, including attending conferences and contributing to statewide forums that influence geriatric mental health practices. \n
- Engage in periodic reviews of treatment methodologies to ensure alignment with best practices and agency goals. \n
The ideal candidate will work primarily with older adults experiencing a variety of mental health challenges, including grief and loss, anxiety, depression, and cognitive decline. You will provide compassionate support and counseling to help them navigate these profound life transitions, enabling them to regain a sense of purpose and well-being. Your expertise will also involve promoting mental health awareness among caregivers and family members.
Qualifications\n- \n
- A Master’s Degree in Mental Health Counseling from an accredited institution is required. \n
- A valid Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) credential in Washington State is essential. \n
- At least 4 years of recent experience providing mental health counseling specifically for geriatric populations. \n

The salary for this position ranges from USD 70,000 to 95,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
