Responsible for proactively managing, monitoring, evaluating, and updating the overall business plan to meet all volume, profit, and share objectives. They will be responsible for implementing our brand strategies and tactics with the customer by working closely with key decision makers and utilizing category management initiatives to drive consumer decision making. The position will require strong cross-functional leadership, financial acumen, customer interface skills, and strategic agility capabilities. Effectively navigating complex situations, and translating them into clear insights and actionable steps, is critical.This role is remote with Grand Rapids, Michigan being the preferred location.What you will do...CSL’s primary focus is to grow net sales, profit, and market share across Campbell’s Meals and Beverages portfolio, leveraging resources both internally and externally to effectively manage the responsibilities. Details outlined below:Lead the joint business planning process and annual strategic plans with the customerUtilize our e4 sales planning tool and customer systems to create optimal plans for the customerDevelop and implement trade promotion strategies and tactical plans with the customerConduct post event analysis to evaluate promotional volume, consumption, profit, and spending results versus plan and leverage findings to maximize future promotional opportunitiesDevelop and lead accurate monthly forecasts to maximize supply chain efficiency by tracking shipments, consumption data, and inventory changes for our Meals and Beverage business at the customer. Proactively identify potential risks or threats to monthly forecastsMonitor and manage deduction balances and evaluate post auditsConduct category business reviews, leveraging loyalty and syndicated data, to discuss the state of the business, consumer trends, key business drivers, incremental opportunities, etc.Leverage Category Management resources and loyalty data appropriatelyBe knowledgeable of Campbell brand strategies and tactics and implement them by working closely with the customer's key decision makers which include buyers, category managers, and inventory leadersSell in new items; working with key customer personnel to achieve optimal distributionMonitor success of new item launches and provide recommendations internally and externally on change that could be made to further boost performancePartner with Shopper Marketing resources to develop and implement collaborative marketing programs in alignment with brand and customer strategies and review post campaign performance, calling out any areas for optimizationIdentify profitable opportunities to grow incremental volumeManage and implement enhancements to our Meals and Beverage portfolio on the customer’s website; delivering ecommerce growthJob Complexity:Assess the Customer’s competitive position by category, behaviors, and strategies to understand how they align with our company’s strategic goals and determine appropriate investment strategy (use of trade, shopper marketing, and integrated marketing equities) that will best drive mutual revenue, profit and share growthDevelop productive working relationships with key decision makers within the customer’s organizational structureManage multiple key customer touch pointsManage trade funding in accordance with company standardsRequires high degree of cross-functional interaction within the customer team (e.g., Finance, Category Management, Customer Marketing, Customer Business Managers, Supply Chain, etc.) as well as with internal World Headquarter personnel (e.g., Integrated Marketing, Customer Development, Finance, Supply Chain, etc.) due to the size, complexity, and strategic importance of the customerWorking knowledge of the Syndicated database & technical skills to leverage the dataStrong understanding of and experience with P&L managementWho you will work with...Key members of the Meals & Beverages Sales Team and cross-functional teams.What you bring to the table...Bachelor's Degree8+ years of CPG Industry Sales and/or Category Management experienceIt would be great if you have...Problem Solving Skills Negotiation SkillsSupply Chain KnowledgeTechnical Skills Category & Brand KnowledgeAnalytical SkillsInterpersonal SkillsWritten and Verbal Communication SkillsP&L ManagementCompensation and Benefits:The target base salary range for this full-time, salaried position is between $117,600-$161,700Individual base pay depends on work location and additional factors such as experience, job-related skills, and relevant education or training. Total pay may include other forms of compensation. In addition, we offer competitive health, dental, 401k and wellness benefits beginning on the first day of employment.
