Direct Support Professional (DSP)Job summaryCommunity Integrated Services is seeking compassionate, dependable Direct Support Professionals to support individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities on their path to employment. In this role, you will help individuals with disabilities discover their career interests and support them at their job sites to help them achieve success at work. As a CIS employee, you’ll be part of a supportive, mission-driven team committed to building a more equitable workforce throughout the State of Delaware.What you'll do as a Direct Support Professional (DSP)Provide individualized support and instruction to participants in all stages of their job placement. Work in conjunction with employers to design individualized training plansMaintain a detailed record of on-site performance by completing daily case notes.Help participants be successful in their place of employment in the community.Develop community job leads for assigned individuals meeting their needs, desires, and capabilities.Match applicants to jobs, refer qualified applicants to employers, and conduct necessary follow-up when applicants are placed in jobs.Analyze and develop support strategies that may be used by the participant to do their job tasks.
