Senior Accountant

Meridian, ID | $80,000–$100,000 DOE | Full-Time | Onsite

CV Resources is partnering with a well-established, locally owned construction company in Meridian to add a Senior Accountant to their growing accounting team.

This is a great opportunity for an experienced accountant who enjoys a hands-on role and wants to work closely with operations, project teams, and company leadership . Construction or project-based accounting experience is highly preferred.

What You'll Do

• Manage day-to-day general ledger accounting and support the monthly, quarterly, and year-end close
• Prepare journal entries, accruals, account analyses, and reconciliations
• Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements and management reports
• Support job costing and project-level financial reporting
• Assist with WIP reporting, percentage-of-completion accounting, and revenue recognition
• Review project costs, labor, materials, and overhead for accuracy and proper allocation
• Support accounts payable, accounts receivable, billing, and collections as needed
• Maintain fixed asset schedules and depreciation
• Reconcile credit cards, bank accounts, and balance sheet accounts
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and cash-flow analysis
• Support year-end tax preparation and provide documentation to external CPAs
• Assist with bonding, insurance, lender, and other financial reporting
• Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, controls, and reporting
• Partner with project managers, operations, and leadership to provide financial insight
• Assist with special accounting projects as needed

What We're Looking For

• 4+ years of progressive accounting experience
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
• Strong understanding of GAAP and full-cycle accounting
• Experience with month-end close, journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reporting
• Construction, mechanical contracting, HVAC, plumbing, or other project-based accounting experience strongly preferred
• Experience with job costing and WIP accounting is a major plus
• Strong Excel skills
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
• High level of integrity and discretion

Compensation & Schedule

Salary: $80,000–$100,000 DOE
Location: Meridian, ID
Schedule: Monday–Friday, standard business hours
Work Arrangement: 100% onsite
