Registered Nurse - Cardiac Medical Unit (Nights)

Location: Portsmouth, NH

Assignment Duration: This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM

Job Description: The Registered Nurse (RN) will provide care in the Cardiac Medical Unit, managing a diverse range of cardiac patients in a fast-paced environment. Key responsibilities include monitoring telemetry patients, administering medications, and performing various cardiac procedures under established guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and manage patients with cardiac conditions, including CHF, COPD, and stroke overflow.
• Administer treatments such as hi-flow, Bi-pap, and chest tube management.
• Conduct procedures like thoracentesis, pacemaker management, and cardiac catheterization.
• Perform patient assessments and document care in Meditech Expanse.
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Must possess an active RN license.
• Proficiency in telemetry required.
• Certifications: ASLS, BLS.
• Experience in a cardiac step-down unit preferred.
