Rhino Medical is leading the charge seeking Board Certified or Board Eligible OB/GYN Physicians for a long-term locum tenens opportunity in Mansfield, Texas .

This opportunity offers experienced OB/GYN physicians the ability to focus on hospital-based obstetric and gynecologic care without the demands of maintaining a traditional outpatient practice. With flexible monthly shift commitments, dedicated labor and delivery support, and an established community hospital setting, this assignment is particularly attractive for physicians seeking consistent locum tenens work, supplemental income, or weekend-only coverage.

Schedule & Assignment Details

• Long-term locum tenens opportunity with ongoing coverage needs
• 24-hour shifts, 9:00 AM–9:00 AM
• Approximately 5 shifts per month currently needed
• Full-time availability: 6–8 shifts per month
• Part-time availability: 3–4 shifts per month
• PRN opportunities with no minimum monthly commitment
• Weekend-only candidates welcome
• One OB/GYN physician provides 24-hour hospitalist coverage
• Start as soon as credentialed, with expedited privileges potentially available for qualifying physicians

Clinical Practice & Hospital Environment

• Established 59-bed community hospital with 4 ICU beds
• Approximately 685 annual deliveries, with projected growth toward 900
• Level I neonatal care
• Dedicated 24/7 Certified Surgical Technologist coverage in Labor & Delivery
• Epic electronic medical records
• Hospital-based obstetric and gynecologic care

Clinical Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive 24-hour inpatient obstetric coverage
• Evaluate and manage laboring patients, deliveries, and obstetric emergencies
• Perform vaginal and cesarean deliveries as clinically indicated
• Provide obstetric consultations for patients presenting through the Emergency Department
• Evaluate and manage urgent and emergent gynecologic conditions
• Perform appropriate gynecologic procedures, including dilation and curettage (D&C)
• Perform newborn circumcisions as required by the clinical program
• Collaborate with Labor & Delivery nursing, surgical support, and other hospital-based clinical teams
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in Epic

Physician Qualifications

• Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO)
• Completion of an ACGME- or AOA-accredited OB/GYN residency program
• Active, unrestricted medical license appropriate for practice in Texas
• Current obstetric delivery and gynecologic procedural competency
• Minimum of 50 documented deliveries for consideration of temporary or emergency privileges
• Ability to satisfy additional delivery and surgical case requirements for full credentialing
• Comfortable providing independent 24-hour OB/GYN hospitalist coverage
• Strong communication, clinical judgment, and multidisciplinary collaboration skills
