We're looking for an experienced shipping/receiving professional with prior forklift experience and strong computer/shipping software skills. You'll handle shipments, shipping documentation, inventory, and warehouse operations. Don't miss this potential to hire opportunity in Kansas City, MO.Shipping and Receiving Associate Responsibilities include but are not limited to:Process outbound shipments by creating shipping labels, packing slips, and carrier documentation using shipping software and computer systemsCoordinate daily UPS and freight shipments to ensure timely delivery of customer ordersVerify shipment information, quantities, and documentation for accuracy prior to shippingReceive incoming materials and verify deliveries against packing slips and purchase ordersEnter shipping and receiving information into warehouse and inventory management systemsPrepare products for shipment by labeling, scanning, packaging, and staging materials for carrier pickupTrack shipments and maintain accurate shipping and receiving recordsCommunicate with warehouse personnel, drivers, and carriers regarding shipment status and delivery schedulesOperate forklifts and other material-handling equipment to move, stage, load, and unload materials safelyAssist with inventory counts, inventory verification, and general warehouse activities as neededMaintain a clean, safe, and organized work area while following company safety procedures and OSHA standardsShipping and Receiving Associate Requirements:High school diploma or GED requiredGeneral computer skills requiredPrior forklift experience requiredAbility to lift up to 75 pounds and frequently bend, stoop, and move throughout the dayMust be comfortable working in a non-climate-controlled environmentStrong attention to detail and ability to follow instructionsAbility to work independently and as part of a teamIND060 QPS Employment Group is a full-service staffing firm comprised of dedicated and passionate people with over 50 offices throughout the United States.
