POSITION SUMMARY This position may be located within a Hospital Facility, Patient Service Center (PSC), In‑Office Phlebotomy (IOP), or Mobile Diagnostic Services (MDS). The role may require providing coverage at multiple locations, handling the collection and receipt of biological specimens, entering data into the company’s computer system, preparing samples for analytical testing, and distributing specimens to the appropriate analytical areas. Responsibilities also include managing pre‑ and post‑analytical testing and performing specified analytical tests as assigned. All duties follow the Code of Conduct and established policies, procedures, regulatory and accreditation requirements, and applicable professional standards. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Minimum age requirement of 18 years. High School diploma or equivalent (may depend on state regulatory requirements). Basic knowledge of department resource materials. Completion of a phlebotomy program or prior phlebotomy experience. Position may require DHS Fingerprinting Certification or ability to obtain fingerprint certification. Depending on department/location, must possess a valid state driver’s license in the state of employment and be eligible for coverage under the company auto insurance policy. Float positions require travel, flexible hours, and coverage at mobile phlebotomy facilities or in‑office locations with minimal notice. Must be flexible and available based on staffing requirements, including weekends, holidays, and overtime. May be required to work occasional on‑call duties on weekends, evenings, and early mornings. Progression through career ladder II‑IV is subject to completion of career ladder requirements. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Bilingual (Spanish/English). Knowledge of medical terminology.
