About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Operating Room Duration: 14 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 8 hours (07:00 - 15:30) Experience: Minimum of 3 years recent experience in Operating Room required. Level 1 experience desired. License: Compact or state license required at time of submission. Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) required. Must-Have: - Experience in Total Joints, Orthopedic Spine, Gynecology, and Minimally Invasive Surgery required. - Ability to work in a variety of specialty areas. - Must be available for call rotation with a maximum response time of 40 minutes. - Must float within the hospital or to an affiliate hospital nearby. Description: Looking for an experienced Registered Nurse specializing in the Operating Room. Candidates should have a minimum of three years recent experience in the Operating Room. Level 1 experience is desired. Staff will be expected to work in a variety of specialty areas including Total Joints, Orthopedic Spine, Gynecology, and Minimally Invasive Surgery. The call policy includes being available from 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM during the week and from 7:00 AM Saturday through 7:00 AM Monday on the weekend. During the first six-week schedule, staff will have 2-3 calls in the week. The next six-week period will include weekend call. Late coverage may be required in case the Operating Room schedule does not finish, but staff are usually not required to stay. Compliance requirements include BLS, basic math exam, Operating Room competency exam, Operating Room skills, CORE exams, and No-Medication exam. Candidates with any licensure hits may not be eligible for submission. It is essential to disclose any previous employment history with this facility during the application process to ensure eligibility for rehire.
